Sam Schmidt is the founder and editor of WordHouse, the BWA's monthly newsletter, and organizer of WordHouse at the Minás Gallery, a monthly reading series hosted by Peter Chapman in the Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore. His recent work has been published in Maryland Poetry Review, Dancing Shadow Review, The Pearl, Articulate, The Function at the Junction, and Weavings 2000, a millenium anthology of Maryland poets. He received a 1997 Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council. He works at the Johns Hopkins University Press as an Assistant Editor.
