Lalita Noronha, Ph.D. is a research scientist, teacher, and writer of Indian nationality. Her literary credits include publications in Baltimore Sun, Catholic Digest, The Christian Science Monitor, Potomac Review, Crab Orchard Review, among others. She has won many prizes notably Maryland Artscape Short Story Award, 1997 and Dorothy Daniels Award of the National League of American Pen Women, 1998. She is the author of Where Monsoons Cry, and a contributor to prose and poetry anthologies including Get Well Wishes (Harper SanFrancisco, 2000), 2001: A Science Fiction Poetry Anthology (Anamnesis Press), A Thousand Worlds, An Anthology of Indian Women Writers, (Aurat Press, 1998), Great Writers, Great Stories, Writers from Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. (IM Press, 1999), among others.
