Linda Joy Burke is a performance poet, mentor, public speaker, emcee, workshop facilitator, and writer. She has presented to a wide variety of audiences ranging from the National Black Women's Health Collective Conference, to the National Poetry Therapist conference, to Baltimore's Artscape 2000, women's festivals in the Mid-Atlantic region, colleges, special needs populations, elementary schools, and general audiences. Her poems have been published in a variety of publications including Healing Design-Practical Feng Shui for Gracious Living, Quintessence, Obsidian II Black Literature in Review, Thy Mother's Glass-Poems for Mothers and Daughters, Passager-A Journal of Remembrance and the soon to be released anthology, When Divas Laugh. Her first collection, Moods, Minds, and Multitudes, is available on audio tape. She is President of the Board of Directors of Baltimore Writers' Alliance and Poet-In-Residence at the Howard County Center of African American Culture.
